Democratic Candidate for President

Our voices.  Our government.  Let’s fix it together.

What This Is — And Why It Matters

As I see it, our government should be more transparent, more responsive, and more focused on serving the needs of the American people.  Everyone — rich or poor, left or right — has a seat at our national table, and a right to air their grievances and be heard.

This site, and my campaign, is built around that principle.  Below you’ll find real policy proposals on issues that directly affect American households.  Each one includes a comment form — because the purpose of this campaign is not to talk at you.  Its purpose is to do what we all should expect our government to do: be there to listen.  While that won’t always mean we each get everything we want, it has to mean that we can tell that we’ve been heard, and that the compromises we accept are as reasonable and as fair as possible.

Please read the proposals – the Issues we have put up, so far.  Tell us what you think.  Tell us what we’re missing.  Tell us where we’re wrong.  We will listen and update the website accordingly, and add our thoughts on those ideas.

Please Note:  There is much more to come, so check back weekly for more issues, the research which framed them, volunteer opportunities, speaking engagements, and much more including merchandise and, yes, ways to donate.

The Liberty Bell at Independence National Historical Park. The famous crack is clearly visible.

Sometimes Cracked, but Never Broken

The Liberty Bell cracked under the weight of its own purpose — ringing out for a nation still learning what freedom meant.  It was never repaired.  It was never silenced.  It became more powerful because of the damage, not in spite of it.

Democracy is like that.  It’s demanding, imperfect, and always under strain.  But we’ve always dealt with our problems — sometimes cracked, but never broken.  That’s the promise of this campaign: not perfection, but the honest, pragmatic work of neighbors fixing those cracks, together.
