Fred Francis 2028, Inc. ("the campaign") operates the website fredfrancis2028.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data. We wrote it in plain English because legalese helps nobody.
What We Collect
Comment Forms
Several pages on this site include a comment form that invites visitors to share their views on policy issues. The form includes fields for your name, email address, geographic region, and line of work; all of these are optional. The only required field is the comment itself. You also choose whether your comment may be posted publicly and whether you would like to be notified about responses.
Comment submissions are sent to a Google Apps Script backend and stored in a Google Sheets spreadsheet accessible only to campaign staff. If you choose "Yes" to public posting, your comment and the optional name you provided may appear on the site; your email address is never displayed publicly.
Email Contact
If you contact us by email (at any address @fredfrancis2028.com), we retain your message and email address for the purpose of responding to you and, if relevant, incorporating your feedback into our policy positions.
Server and Hosting Data
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically collects standard web server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you visited. This data is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not operate additional analytics or tracking tools beyond what Cloudflare provides by default.
Cookies
This site does not set first-party cookies. Cloudflare may set limited cookies for security and performance purposes (such as bot detection). We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes. We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not build user profiles for marketing. We do not require you to create an account to use any part of this site.
Donor Information
This site does not currently accept online donations. If and when a donation mechanism is added, this policy will be updated to describe the handling of donor information in compliance with Federal Election Commission regulations. FEC-required donor disclosures (name, address, occupation, and employer for contributions over $200) are a matter of federal law and will be reported as required.
Data Retention
Comment submissions and email correspondence are retained for the duration of the campaign. Server logs are retained according to Cloudflare's standard retention schedule.
Your Rights
You may request that we delete any personal information you have submitted to us by emailing privacy@fredfrancis2028.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you submitted a comment anonymously, we have no way to identify which submission is yours unless you can provide identifying details.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our comment form, please contact us at privacy@fredfrancis2028.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy from time to time as the campaign evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made. Material changes will be noted on the site.
